Frisco, Texas - Located 25 minutes north of Dallas, Frisco is an emerging go-to place for family fun in the DFW Metroplex.

Along Main Street, between the Dallas North Tollway and Preston Road, you'll find some of the most unique shopping and dining experiences in the metroplex. Be sure to make time to explore this area, because a visit to Frisco isn’t complete without a stop in Historic Downtown Frisco or at Frisco Square.

Frisco has a long history of being a shopping destination. In the city’s early years, it was common on weekends for the sidewalks and streets of Main Street to be packed with farmers, ranchers, and city folks. Horses, wagons and eventually Model T cars were parked outside of shops like Curtsinger’s Drug Store, Sapp Brothers’ Café or the Frisco Beauty Shoppe. Today, while it’s rare to see horses or Model Ts making their way down Main Street, the folks still come from all over to frequent the merchants there including Lillian Welch and Randy’s Steakhouse.

Just west of Historic Downtown and across the St. Louis–San Francisco Railway tracks, you’ll find Frisco Square. Sitting on 147 acres and encompassing just over 4.4 million square feet of office, retail, multi-family and municipal space, Frisco Square is a pedestrian-friendly urban environment, and home to Frisco City Hall and the Frisco Public Library. Along with the municipal buildings, Frisco Square offers a variety of restaurants including Pizzeria Testa and Tavolo Italia; specialty shops such as @nerdvana.coffee+shop and Poparella’s, and access to entertainment at Cinemark Next Gen-XD Theater and special events throughout the year.
